Both Chad Pennington and Chad Henne are likely out for the remainder of the season, according to PFW Dolphins correspondent and Sun Sentinel reporter Omar Kelly. Each quarterback was injured in Miami's 29-17 Week 10 victory vs. the Titans.
Chad Pennington's shoulder and Chad Henne's knee weren't able to make it through Sunday's Dolphins-Titans game, and though third-stringer Tyler Thigpen managed well in their absence, Miami will clearly need to add depth at the position if those injuries are of the long-term variety.
Given the circumstances, the Dolphins have reached out to the well-rested JaMarcus Russell, according to Inside the NFL's Josina Anderson.
Russell recently worked out for the Washington Redskins and has spent his time off in Houston exercising with famed athlete-rehabilitator and former NBA coach John Lucas.
